In the month of May 2014, we did survey of various villages of Chhatarpur district. We found that some of the villages situated near Khajuraho especially near Panna Tiger Reserve are facing so many problems, as they are lying under forest area, life there is really crucial and full of deficiencies, so we decided to start our work there also. After hearing local people and spending time with them we found that Rajnagar Block of Chhatarpur district has so many Aadivasi (Tribal) villages which are really undeveloped. Thus we selected 4 Aadivasi villages there for work – Aadivasi Tola (Bharwa), Phoolan Colony, Gadarpura and Kundarpura.
In the month of June & July 2014, we organized various awareness camps such as Health & Hygiene Awareness Camp, Education Awareness Camp, Cancer Awareness Camp, Camp for Promotion of Organic Farming along with the various methods of making organic manures, etc., in these villages on different dates. Looking at the low level of education here, we started our 8th Free Non Formal Education Center in Aadivasi Tola (Bharwa) on 27th July 2014 and appointed a women of the village as teacher to teach children.
