The month of March 2016 was in the name of Women’s Day and workshop’s and celebrations associated with it. On 8th of March, we celebrated ‘International Women’s Day’ in association with Divisional Project Manager Unit, CIFPSA, Jhansi (National Health Mission) where we saluted womanhood by inviting reputed women from various fields working in Jhansi and honoured Ashas, ANMs and Aaganwadi workers who have given outstanding performance and organized an exhibition also where we displayed the products made by SHGs trained and supported by us. In this series only, we participated in-
– ‘Gender Sensitization Workshop’ organized by Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Jhansi on 12th of March;
– District Working Group’s meeting for proper implementatin of Family Welfare Program in Jhansi District by CIFPSA on 30th of March; and
– ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Workshop’ organized by CMO, Jhansi for checking the effectiveness of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Program on 30th of March.
In addition to these, we organized awareness camps for the women of village Mohangarh (U.P.) and Radhapur (M.P.) to make them realize their importance as well as responsibilities in families and in building a healthy nation.
In the month of February we organized various health awareness camps, namely Cancer Awareness Camp at village Mohangarh (U.P.), T.B. Awareness camp at village Radhapur (M.P.) and ‘Nasha Mukti Camps’ at villages Tekanpur and Mohangarh (U.P.). Under the banner of ‘Shakti’ program run by us, we organized 2 ‘Women Safety and Know Your Rights Camp’ at Aarya Kanya Degree College, Jhansi and Bundelkhand College, Jhansi.
In January 2016, most of the time we spent on skill development, as Candle Making Workshops in villages Laadpura, Radhapur and Mohangarh, Paper Craft Making Workshop at village Mohangarh, Fashion Jewellary Making Workshop at village Radhapur and Envelope Making Workshop at village Laadpura.
In addition to this, on 12th of December on the occasion of ‘Youth Day’ (Swami Vivekanand’s Birth Anniversary), we organized a motivational camp for the villagers especially children of village Radhapur to make them know the values of Swami Ji so that they can walk on his path and become a responsible citizen, alongwith a ‘Nasha Mukti Camp’ at village Mohangarh.
